In most schools of India, the teachers work with sole motive of preparing students for the examinations, focusing more on cramming up everything rather than learning. Divasvapna (Daydream)is the story of a teacher who experiments with new ideas on his class IV students, discarding conventional methods of teaching. From these experiments he tries to develop and implement a pedagogy which is more interesting and learning oriented.
The book is a good one time read, but don't expect it to be humorous. You may also feel that the story is not very close to reality.
