6th Tibetan General Conference on Education

January 7-9, 2014: Lower TCV School, Dharamsala

Day 1
The 6th Tibetan General Conference on Education was inaugurated at 9AM on January 7, 2014 at the Tibetan Children's Village School, Lower Dharamsala. The opening function was chaired by Sikyong/Education Kalon Dr. Lobsang Sangay. The function was attended by the Speaker of Tibetan parliament Mr. Penpa Tsering, Chief Justice Commissioner Mr Ngawang Phelgey, other dignitaries and all the participants. There are 236 participants comprising of school system head office administrators and education director/officers, school directors, principals, headmasters, rectors, teachers, etc. from 76 Tibetan schools in India and Nepal, representatives of Tibetan academic institutions of higher learning.
